August Favourites

Hello Lovelies!

Soap and Glory peach party, Burts bees mango lip balm, Collection lasting perfection concealer,
 Eyeko skinny mini liquid liner

This summer has been a scorcher in the UK so having makeup that has staying power is a must have and these products have been my saviours this month.

Soap and Glory Peach Party £11

My first favourite is Soap and Glory Peach Party it is a very subtle bronzer with a lot of shimmer and is perfect for a pale complexion. It is a multi tonal brick which you could separate to use them individually but I find it much easier to just swirl the colours together to create a subtle bronze. The packaging is also great for travelling as it is a sturdy case and contains a little compact mirror. I love just swirling some of this over my face to give me a glowy face all day.

Swatch of the colours swirled together.

My next favourite is the Eyeko skinny mini black liquid liner it has very simple but strong packaging and is now definitely my favourite liquid liner.

Eyeko skinny mini liquid liner in Black £10
This liquid liner is truly jet black and has a very thin tip so makes it very easy to apply which is good as I tend to struggle with liquid liners also it has a very good staying power, This truly has been my summer staple and makes it very easy to create a lot of different eyeliner looks.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer £4.99

This concealer has been raved about in the beauty world but it is fully deserving of the hype it is the best concealer I have ever used it is long lasting, full coverage and matches my skin tone perfectly. It is perfect for the summer and has been something I have worn every single day and will continue to use into the winter months.

Burts Bees Lip Balm with Mango Butter £3.69

This product has shocked me rather alot I don't tend to buy lip balms as they can be horribly flavoured or just generally not very good but in the summer heat I've needed something to keep my lips moisturised and this has been a little gem. It smells and tastes like real mango's and is the most moisturising balm I have ever owned and it is something I would highly recommend to everyone.

So that has been my August favourites!
What are you guys loving this month?

The 'Apocalips' is coming!

Hello lovelies!

In 2013 Rimmel Apocalips lip lacquers (what a mouthful!) hit the stores and sent a craze through the beauty world but are they really worth the hype?

Rimmel Apocalips in colour 101 Celestial.

So first off the packaging is super lovely! It has a black ombre effect into the shade you have chosen which I love as I am a huge sucker for a nice bit of packaging!
Secondly the pigmentation of this product is incredible, it's glossy but not overly sticky and has a very long wear time. In my opinion it is slightly drying but its nothing a little balm can't fix.

The colour I chose 'Celestial' is a very pretty pink not too bright but bright enough to get you noticed and goes very well with my whiter than white skin!

The only downsides I have with this product are I personally cannot stand the way it tastes, its very plasticy to me so for somebody who cannot stand unflavoured lip balms this is a big no no for me.
Also I find that the applicator can pick up a bit too much product, but thats just me being picky!

I think Rimmel really hit the nail on the head with this product and for £5.99 (currently £4.99 at Boots!) you will here no complaints from me!

What's your opinion on the Rimmel Apocalips? Do you have something better?
